What we do
TOM® PVC-O pipes are manufactured using cutting-edge air molecular orientation technology, developed in Spain, to mechanically transform the amorphous molecular structure of PVC-U into a stratified and homogeneous directional structure throughout the pipe wall, transforming the PVC-U into PVC-O. The mechanical properties of PVC-O pipes are significantly improved through this orientation process. The impact and crack resistance properties of PVC-O are 500% better than the original PVC-U, and the fatigue resistance, strength and E-modulus of the pipe are also dramatically improved.
TOM® PVC-O pipes have been extensively used in over 30 countries worldwide and it is expected to grow in popularity globally. At the moment, only PVC-O manufactured using Molecor’s patented air-based technology is able to manufacture pipes up to 25 bars pressure rating and a nominal diameter up to 1200 mm. This new manufacturing method has spurred the evolution of PVC-O worldwide and it is expected to see continuous growth of PVC-O usage in the foreseeable future.
